The Sierra Leone Pemier League has placed a fine on both Kamboi Eagles FC and Diamond Star FC. The two teams are to pay Le. 5,000,000 and Le. 10,000,000 respectively.

The fine on Kamboi Eagles is for failing to provide security during their home match against Diamond Stars FC and the fine on Diamond Stars FC is for the unsportsmanlike and violent behavior of fans during their home match against FC Kallon. The home fans of the former invaded the pitch of play. But this wasn’t the only match that this has happened. Diamond Stars fans did the same thing during a match against Kamboi FC in Kenema Town.

It was further resolved that any future unsportsmanlike behavior at any matches during the league will attract even bigger fines, with additional option of suspension or forfeiture games. The Premier League Board has said it will continue to maintain strict zero tolerance for violence policy.
