TAF Africa Global Announced as Headline Sponsor for SLDIC 2026

Big moves are already defining the Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference (SLDIC) 2026 and this one sets the tone.
We are proud to announce TAF Africa Global Limited as the Global Visionary Headline Sponsor of the 2026 Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference.
Beyond its reputation, TAF possesses a localized understanding of investment opportunities in Sierra Leone. Nowhere is this more evident than at TAF Salone Micro City on the Western Area Peninsula. This 5,000-home development is a landmark public-private partnership where government-provided land meets TAF’s development expertise. The community (overlooking the Atlantic Ocean) is already coming to life, marked by the successful handover of its first 35 homes.

This partnership brings together one of Africa’s most experienced real estate developers with a platform designed to unlock diaspora capital, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate Sierra Leone’s economic growth.
The Story Behind TAF Africa Global
For about four decades, TAF Africa Global Limited has built a reputation as a leader in real estate development across Africa.
Founded in 1990, the company operates in nine African countries with strong presence in Nigeria, The Gambia, and Sierra Leone. From residential estates and commercial spaces to shopping malls, TAF Africa Global has consistently delivered projects that transform communities and create long-term value.
Behind the company is an unassuming mastermind; its CEO and founder Mustapha Njie.
Njie built TAF Africa Global from the ground-up, transforming a vision into a multi-million-dollar enterprise recognised across the African continent.
Njie’s career began in 1975 when he completed high school with a strong interest in carpentry, metal work, and technical drawing. He didn’t pursue university education. Instead, he followed his passion, working first as a junior teacher and then at a technical training center. He entered the field of real estate about 40 years ago where he started regular construction work. Since then, he has come a long way from building his first estate in Yarambamba in 2000 and expanding his business across West Africa.
Over the years, his work has earned him widespread recognition including Africa Housing Awards Affordable Housing Company of the Year 2025, PEGASUS UK Award of Excellence – Delivering Quality Affordable Housing Projects – 2025, Africa Housing Awards Affordable Housing Company of the Year 2024; Clean Cyclers Sustainable Real Estate Developer of the Year 2024, AUHF Affordable Housing Investor of the Year, 2023; NIESV Best Housing Developer in Africa, 2023; NIESV Special Individual Recognition Award, 2023, Gambian Businessman of the Year (1993, 2004, 2006), Gambian Man of the Year (2006), European Council for Global Business Award for Quality and Excellence (1998), Best SMME in Construction in Africa (2004), and ECOWAS Honourable Businessman (2010),amongst others.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr Njie emphasized a key message: “For Africa to truly grow, we must create systems that allow people, especially those in the diaspora, to invest with confidence, clarity, and long-term value in the countries of origin.”

Setting the Tone for What is Ahead
SLDIC 2026 will take place across three major cities; London, Silver Spring, and Freetown, bringing the conversation closer to diaspora communities.
This year’s conference is designed to do more than spark conversations. It’s about clear, structured pathways for the diaspora to invest, partner, and actively participate in Sierra Leone’s economic future. The London conference, happening on June 19 – 20, 2026, is where it all begins.
As the London conference approaches, it is clear that the SLDIC is where diaspora ambition meets structured investment and where ideas begin to take shape as real impact.
The opportunity is here. The question is, will you take it?
