Announcing Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference Pitch Competition

For centuries, King Jimmy has been the historic heartbeat of Freetown—a marketplace where the bounty of the provinces meets the commerce of the coast. We are honoring this tradition by launching The King Jimmy Landing, a pitch competition embedded within the Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference.
This is more than just a competition; it is a high-visibility platform designed to showcase the best tech-enabled investment opportunities and the extraordinary talent of Sierra Leonean founders.
Are You Our Next Winner?
We are looking for ambitious founders from both the diaspora and within Sierra Leone who are building Africa-first technology. Whether you are at the idea stage or already have a product in the market, there is a track for you:
- Track A – Idea Stage: For pre-revenue concepts or early prototypes where the problem is clearly defined.
- Track B – Early Stage: For businesses with a working MVP or pilot and evidence of user adoption or revenue.
What’s Up for Grabs?
Winners will compete for the Grand Prize (The VP’s Prize), which includes:
- Cash Prize: $5,000 (with additional smaller awards for runners-up).
- The Support Package: Mentorship from named conference investors, fast-track access to diaspora deal flow, and high-profile media coverage.
- Special Awards: Including the Impact Award, the She Builds Award for women-led ventures, and the People’s Choice Award voted live by the audience. Each will win $500.

To apply, you’ll need to submit:
- A 1-page business summary addressing problem clarity, solution, and market size.
- A 2-minute video pitch showing your passion and logic.
