Paramount Chief Dr. Magrette Darboh has been appointed as the new Chancellor of the University of Sierra Leone, making her the first woman to hold this prestigious position. She succeeds Dr. Sanpha Koroma.
Dr. Darboh holds a master’s degree in Curriculum Development from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, and a Ph.D. in Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education, from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone (FBC-USL).
Her career includes lecturing at the former Freetown Teachers’ College, now Freetown Polytechnic, and serving as a Lecturer in Early Childcare and Development at FBC-USL.
