The incident occurred at a hotel on Costa Rica Street in Buenos Aires Argentina. Local police confirmed his passing in a statement to CNN.

Police were dispatched to the hotel after receiving a call about an aggressive man, possibly under the influence, though they did not identify the person as Payne.
According to TMZ, Payne exhibited erratic behavior in the hotel lobby before his death, destroying his laptop and requiring assistance to return to his room.
The report states that Payne and his girlfriend, Katie Cassidy, arrived in Argentina on September 30, sharing several social media updates from their vacation. Cassidy left on the 14th, while Payne stayed behind, later checking into the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.
Liam Payne’s Musical Debut
Payne captivated British viewers at the age of 14 during his 2008 audition for The X Factor, where he performed Frank Sinatra’s classic “Fly Me to the Moon.”
“While I should be focusing on my schoolwork, I find myself preoccupied with thoughts of singing,” he remarked prior to his initial audition.
Hailing from Wolverhampton, a city in the English Midlands close to Birmingham, Payne initially spoke with a pronounced “Brummie” accent, which gradually diminished as his career advanced.
Payne also participated in his former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert earlier this month, where the One Direction members came together and captured photos during the event.
The artist gained widespread recognition as a member of the renowned boyband One Direction.
