UBA and Tony Elumelu Foundation to host 20,000 guests at SME business fair in Abuja

The UBA Marketplace and The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) will host 20,000 participants and over a 100 vendors at one of Africa’s biggest two-day entrepreneurial fairs.  

Business owners in various industries including food, beauty, fashion, home and interior,  and technology will have the opportunity to engage in business to business networking.

According to Kennedy Uzoka, Group Managing Director of UBA Plc fair will see this and the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs present and discuss best practices for SME growth and financial management.

The fair will include performances by the biggest names in African music; Wizkid, Niniola, Dj Cuppy, Dj Neptune performing as Cynthia Nassardine, RMD will also be gracing the 2-Day event.

With this event, UBA seeks to connect with small business owners while positively impacting their operations and growth. The birth of the UBA Marketplace is a testament to UBA’s commitment to African SMEs.

Uzoka says that entrepreneurship will unlock the potential of youth. 

“I think everyone realises the fact that we need to prioritise the private sector. We need to encourage entrepreneurship and the youth. This is the driving factor and the major reason why we are organising an event of this magnitude,” he said.

Beneficiaries who have won business grants from the Tony Elumelu Foundation will have an opportunity to pitch for an entrepreneurs prize.

The UBA Marketplace and the TEF Forum will take place on July 26 – 27 2019.
