Sean “Diddy” Combs Charged with Sex Trafficking, Racketeering, Amongst others

American rapper and record producer, Sean “Diddy” Combs, has been charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation for the purpose of prostitution, following his arrest on September 16th, 2024.

The rapper also faces multitudes of sexual assault allegations in a number of cases filed over the past two years.

Details of the Charges

Hours after Combs’ arrest, a federal indictment charged him with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and the transportation of individuals for prostitution.

Documents obtained by American news network, NBC News, revealed that Combs for years, “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.”

Combs used his staff, resources, and business influence to conceal his activities.

The document stated that Combs created “a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.”

Combs allegedly produced, directed, and recorded abusive sexual acts known as “freak offs” which lasted hours or even days.

U.S Attorney Damian Williams explained that the “freak offs” lasted days at a time and involved multiple sex workers and a number of narcotics such as ketamine, ecstasy and GHB. Combs allegedly distributed these to his victims to keep them obedient and complaint during the sexual acts.

Federal prosecutors also claimed that they seized more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and other lubricant’s in Combs’ homes where the sexual acts were held.

One “freak off” was said to cost Combs $46,000 or more.

Past Charges Held Against Diddy

This isn’t the first time charges have been laid out against Combs.

On November 16, 2023, Combs faced a lawsuit by his ex-girlfriend Cassie for alleged sexual assault, battery, and sex trafficking. However, they settled the issue out of court the next day.

Combs, 54 dated Cassie on and off for nearly a decade before their split in 2018. In her complaint obtained by NBC News, Cassie described Combs as a “vicious, cruel, and controlling man” during her time at his record label.

Cassie alleged that he “punched, beat, kicked and stomped” on her and forced her to engage in sexual activities with male sex workers. She also claimed he raped her back in 2018, before their official break up.

One week after settling his lawsuit, Combs faced two new sexual misconduct allegations. On November, 23 2023, an anonymous woman also filed a sexual assault case against Combs and R&B singer, Aaron Hall. She claims they assaulted her and her friend at Hall’s apartment in 1990 or 1991.

Combs’ spokesperson told E!News that, “The claims involving alleged misconduct against Mr. Combs from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute are all completely denied and rejected by him. He recognizes this as a money grab. Because of Mr. Combs’ fame and success, he is an easy target for accusers who will falsify the truth, without conscience or consequence, for financial benefit.”

“He’s going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might,” his attorney Marc Agnifilo told reporters outside the courthouse prior to the arraignment, “and the full confidence of his lawyers.”
