The Africa Young Voices (AYV) Housemates Salone Season 4 winner, Suad Baydoun, through her company, Baydoun Company Limited, has announced the launch of the Suad Baydoun National Debate and Essay Writing Competitions aimed at promoting academic excellence, leadership, and creativity among young people in Sierra Leone.

The announcement was made in an official statement released by Baydoun Company Limited, inviting secondary schools and universities across the country to participate in the national intellectual competitions.

 According to the Suad Baydoun National Debate and Essay Writing Competitions official announcement, the debate competition will feature a two-day intensive debating experience involving eight universities from different parts of Sierra Leone.

The initiative is designed to provide a platform for young Sierra Leonean intellectuals to engage in discussions on national issues, defend their ideas, and showcase leadership and public speaking skills on a national stage.

Essay Competition Open to Secondary School Students

The essay writing competition is exclusively open to secondary school students nationwide, the statement says.

Essays submitted for the competition will be assessed based on originality, clarity, coherence, relevance, and overall presentation.

Dates and Venues Yet to Be Announced

Baydoun Company Limited also confirmed that details regarding the dates, venues, and official timetable for the competitions will be announced in the coming days.

More details about the competitions are expected to be released by the organizers soon.

Her eventual victory in Housemates Season 4 further elevated her public profile and positioned her among the country’s emerging young influencers.
