Sierra Leone’s Michael Bassey is embarking on an exciting new phase of his acting journey after achieving recognition on African screens. The former participant of Big Brother Africa from Sierra Leone is gearing up for a significant breakthrough as he prepares to make his debut appearance in a Netflix series titled “Obliterated.”

The show, slated for release in November of this year, is being produced by the creative minds behind the popular series “Cobra Kai.”

Overflowing with enthusiasm, Bassey took to his social media platforms to share the news and commemorate this remarkable achievement. With a touch of playful humor, he jestingly declared himself as the first Sierra Leonean to grace Netflix screens.

“Sooooooo Grateful to be a part of this. Save the date (NOVEMBER 30th) only on Netflix. Can I say I’ll be the first Sierra Leonean on Netflix?” said Bassey.

At the age of 32, Bassey has already established his presence with roles in films such as “Voiceless Scream” (2018) and “Loving Amanda” (2022). Now, he eagerly anticipates the premiere of “Obliterated” in 2023.

The series “Obliterated” holds the promise of a riveting narrative, chronicling the journey of a team of elite special forces operatives. Following a triumphant mission in Las Vegas, they decide to revel in their success with a night of celebration.

However, their elation transforms into shock the following morning when they realize that the bomb they believed they had disarmed is still an active threat. Packed with thrilling plot twists and heart-pounding action, this captivating series is poised to enthrall audiences.
