Second place FC Kallon has been held to a nil-nil draw against Strong rejuvenated Old Edwardians which dented their chance to top the table on Saturday 18 May 2019.

One of the best encounters since the restart of the Sierra Leone Premier League could not produce goals despite the entertaining, brilliance and mouthwatering and performance by both teams.

FC Kallon missed a great opportunity of going top up of the Premier League, after some moment of profligacy meant the Cavaliers had to be a point behind their rivals Eastern Lions who are confident leading the league table. The boys of Kallon with their following fans had to be put on tenterhooks on countless occasions arousing a timeless uproar of frustration throughout the match.

On the other hand, a revivify Old Edwardians side on the second segment of the Premier League
mounted a stiff resistance which prides them with a third clean sheet. Goal-bound saves from Abu Komeh, Saidu Fofanah and Kenewa Stevens by goalkeeper Hassan Turay in the first half was sure to keep a desperate Kallon FC at bay who knew a win would have taken them top of the League Table.

Second half substitutions for FC Kallon could not help them get any goal that would have taken them top of the League. Goal scoring opportunities proved elusive with their onslaught offensive tactics neatly dealt with by a defiant Old Edwardians defence.

Edmond Michael would have been a hero for the revived Old Edwardians in a third match running when he had a clear cut chance to change the nil, nil scoreline but he blasts wide from an open goal in the 83rd minute. Kallon searched through thick and thin for a goal with their owner (Mohamed Kallon) watching from the technical beach frustrated by a club which paved the way for him to become Sierra Leone’s most decorated football star.
