
In its fifth edition, Recipes for Success (RFS) will feature two keynotes; Mr. Brinsley K. Johnson a leading chartered account and Dr. Shekou Sesay a physician recently returned to Sierra Leone from the US Diaspora.
Recipes for Success V will be held on Saturday 23 December at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Freetown.
RFS is a quarterly business networking opportunity for Sierra Leonean young professionals. Past speakers include: Ms. Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, Mr. Franklin Ibemessie, Dr. Eva Roberts, Mr. Pakai Kamara, Dr. Fatu Forna-Sesay, Ms. Michaela Mackay, and Ms. Ami Dumbuya.
RFS is a platform that is committed to connecting the next generation of professionals with leading entrepreneurs and corporate executives. The main objective of RFS is for Sierra Leoneans across all sectors to network, learn, and connect.

Mr. Brinsley K. Johnson is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience. He has worked as a financial services professional to both public, and private sector projects in Sierra Leone, and Ghana. He is a Managing Partner at BDO (previously PKF Sierra Leone) an international financial services and business consulting firm with member offices across the globe. He leads engagement and reporting for BDO audit clients including; CARE, USAID, and multiple EU and World Bank funded projects.
Mr. Johnson holds a B.Sc in Pure & Applied Science and an MBA from the University of Sierra Leone. He is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone (FCA).

Dr. Shekou Sesay is a physician at the Special Care Baby Unit at Ola During Children’s Hospital where he treats newborns in need of urgent care. He leads the Unit’s rehabilitation effort where with new guidelines for care, and trains physicians and nurses on quality care for newborns.
In 2008 Dr. Sesay co-founded The Mama-Pikin Foundation where he continues to serve as Executive Director. The foundation supports health facilities in vulnerable communities in Koinadugu, and Bombali Districts, as well as the Western Area.
He is a graduate of the Prince of Wales Boys School in Freetown and began his medical education at the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS). Dr. Sesay is an alumnus of the University of Maryland College Park, and Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed pediatric and preventive medicine residency trainings at Morehouse School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Urgent Care Medicine in the United States.
