Jimmy B turns to gospel

Jimmy Bangura may have given us the popular hits Make Em Bounce, Khadija, and Beautiful but the pioneer of modern Salone Afro pop has released a statement to say that his album set for release in April 2015 will be his very last “worldly” album.

Jimmy, whose music is enjoyed by music lovers in Sierra Leone and beyond is a household name on the Sierra Leonean music scene, so it is truly invaluable that an entertainer such as him has taken the decision to pause to remember God who made his success possible.

He posted this statement on his official Facebook page:

“THIS IS THE VERY LAST WORLDLY ALBUM FROM ME, MYSELF & I……………IF I EVER RECORD ANOTHER ALBUM, IT WILL BE GOSPEL, ALL IN THE GLORY OF GOD, TRULY APPRECIATE ALL HE HAS DONE IN MY LIFE. MUST GIVE BACK.”

His fans welcomed his decision with their full support.

In response one fan wrote, “May God direct you.” and another fan wrote ” I can’t wait bro, support all the way”.
