What is Diaspora Wars?

Sierra Leone Diaspora Wars brings together over 10 global continental squads—representing Sierra Leoneans from the Americas, Europe, Pan-Africa, MENA, Asia, and Oceania—for high-stakes athletic rivalries and classic nostalgic games right on the sand.

Whether you’re competing for annual bragging rights or cheering from the crowd, there’s non-stop action, continuous music, and family-friendly fun from afternoon until dawn.

The Game-Day Lineup

• 🚩 2:00 PM — Arrival & Parade: Continental check-in and grand march-past.
• 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM — The Games Arena: Track and sand athletics (50m sprints, tug-of-war, sack race, three-legged-race), precision heritage games (egg-and-spoon, cones, balance ball), and interactive tent showdowns (arm wrestling, Ludo, checkers, Scrabble).
• 6:00 PM — Trophy Ceremony: Crowning the 2026 Continental Champions!
• 9:30 PM – Dawn — Griot Bonfire & All-Night Marathon: Storytelling by master griots and folk historians, live DJs, curated playlists, and a sunrise acoustic vigil by the beach fire.
