The latest FIFA world ranking for women’s football places the Sierra Leone National Women’s team at the 141st position.

From August 2023 to March 2024, the latest FIFA ranking highlights substantial shifts, encompassing 126 international matches globally. Despite this, Sierra Queens experienced a slight decrease of 0.02 points from their prior score of 1060 points achieved in August 2023, yet they retained their position at 141st in the world rankings.

Sierra Leone’s inability to progress from its present standing is linked to its absence from CAF and FIFA-endorsed competitions and friendly matches since August of the previous year.

Sierra Queens have shown notable advancement in the African continental ranking. Nigeria leads among the CAF member nations’ women’s national teams, trailed by South Africa, Morocco, Ghana, and Zambia. Sierra Leone continues to outperform its Mano River Union counterparts, Guinea and Liberia, as well as surpassing 15 other nations within the continent.

On the global scale, Spain retains its leading position in the ranking, trailed by England, France, the USA, and Germany. Noteworthy, the Solomon Islands have witnessed the most significant improvement, ascending by 21 places with an impressive addition of 78.84 points.
