Meet the fourteen contestants for the 2023 Mr. & Miss. FBC pageantry

Meet all the eloquent and beautiful contestants vying for the NLE 100,000 grand prize award for the Mr. & Miss. Fourah Bay College 2023. Organized by the FBC student union government, the contest is scheduled for November 4, 2023,  at the Bintumani Hotel. On September 2, this year, 14 students progressed to the grand final following an awe-inspiring audition at the multi-purpose hall at Mount Aureole. Below are the contestants who made it to the grand final, tell us who you’ll be rooting for… 

1. Kenneth Allie    

A final year student at the Faculty of Communications Media and Information Studies. Who also holds a Diploma with Distinction in Mass Communications. Allie is a professional Commercial Model , a Poet and a Writer. He is also one of AYV TV’s Producer, Presenter, Cinematographer, scriptwriter and Visual editor.      

2.  Nyamakoro Marrah

A 21-year-old Law Student who is passionate about entertainment and fashion. Marrah is also an influencer, presenter, poetess, writer, and artistic performer who varies in all entertainment aspects. She has been crowned in various beauty pageants at both national and international levels, such as Miss Culture 2019, Miss Tourism North 2020,  winner of Faces of the North Entertainment Awards (Port Loko Star of the Year 2021 and the Best Female Model of the Year 2022), 1st Runner-Up of Face of Koinadugu and Falaba 2021 and  Miss Top Model of the Universe Sierra Leone 2022. 

3. Jeremiah Brima

A 3rd year  Student in Mechanical Engineering who loves modeling and became a fashion enthusiast after taking his WASSCE before entering college.

 

Brima is a singer and a lover of Music who taught himself how to play instruments like drum and keyboard. His dream is to change the narrative of Pageantry most especially Male Pageantry that it is a professional career and a platform students can use to empower, develop and influence students and also to voice out challenges affecting students bodies.

4. Christiana S Kabia

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, the  Year 2 student holds a Diploma in Africa and Cultural studies at Fourah Bay College. 

Kabia is an aspiring Model, Fashion designer, and a beo queen. She is an advocate and a spoken words artist who loves to create content. She is a co-founder of TIANA SHANTEL ACADEMY; a work in progress that is solely dedicated to grooming girls that aspire to be beauty queens and boss ladies on their own.

5. Ibrahim Nabie Kamara

Kamara is a 3rd year student in Economics & Commerce Department FBC, he is the founder of MentalGrit SL and Co – Manager of a charitable foundation. He is also an aspiring Writer. 

His aims are to use the platform of Mr. FBC to destigmatize mental health and illuminate tranquility in the University Environment.

6. Harold Olatunde Hebron

Hebron is a student of the Fourah Bay College university studying engineering. 

Harold is one of the remarkable contenders making waves on social media for the prestigious Mr. Fourah Bay College title. 

7. Helen Ada Kamara

Kamara is a 19 year-old student from the Law Faculty.

 

The black African queen who is a proceeding year-three student of Law, has a multi-skilled personality that can dance, sprint, draw and write exceptionally and excellently.

8. Scepter Macauley

Macauley is a 23 year Old Student, Model and a proud makeup artist. Who is currently a 2nd year student in pursuing Political Science. Scepter who is proud of his being a makeup artistry has trained over 150 women and 85% of them are now professional makeup artists and he is willing to do more with this platform.

9. Fatima Kamara

23-years old Kamara is currently a third-year student at the Faculty of Communications, Media, and Information Studies. Kamara is a multi-talented individual who has made significant strides in her chosen fields. As a seamstress, she weaves threads of creativity into stunning garments. Her makeup artistry and hairstyling skills transform individuals, enhancing their natural beauty. She’s a true artist in every sense.

10. Nathan Sahr Gbamanja

Gbamanja is currently one of the most diligent students at the Law Department, and is now proceeding to LLB 3(Hons-1). He currently serves as a Brand Ambassador for one of Sierra Leone’s leading fashion brands “Triads Luxury”. He is also the Chief Sport Correspondent for Capital Radio Sierra Leone.  His passion for Modeling was highly influenced by the African American-born, Caesar Chukwuma Esq.

11. Stefania Hawa Oates

Oates is a 22-year-old student studying a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, presently in her final year. She is also a sound editor and a trained radio journalist practicing with GhOne’s Starr FM in Accra Ghana. She is also a member of the Music for girls initiative Africa, a group that educates young girls to make a change and be unstoppable, she has performed in so many big stages.

12. Binta Barrie

Barrie is a student pursuing a law degree. According to her, experience at Mount Aureole has helped her to become a patient, resilient and most of all, self-believing person. She is one of the top contenders for this year’s Miss FBC.

13. Maurice Moun 

Born in the Outskirts of Freetown to Christian parents, Moun is a spoken word artist, creative writer, a model and a civil engineering student. Poetry is for artists and modeling for models. So let engineers stick to engineering. But Jav (as he is commonly called) chooses to follow passion amid the dictates of society. 

Moun has hosted major poetry and art exhibition events. He has also written over 300 poems and he has co-authored two renowned international anthologies including “Roots of Africa” & “The lonely days”.

14. Janet Mujay Mansaray
