Mello Seven’s “Kapu” EP blends local vibes with global sounds
Mello Seven has finally dropped his eagerly awaited EP titled “Kapu.” This EP comprises four captivating songs and marks Mello’s second artistic endeavor.
“Kapu” is a Sierra Leonean slang, signifying the act of seizing an opportunity when it arises and making it your own. The overarching theme of this project is to convey a powerful message of hope, joy, and happiness, even in the face of the numerous challenges that confront us daily as a society. Life continues to move forward, so let us embrace love and the experience of being loved.
In this project Mello Seven features Kracktwist, in KBM and all the songs were mixed and mastered by Jassie Jozzy. The sound of Kapu is a fusion between local Sierra Leone instruments with Amapiano and afro pop elements, hereby giving birth to a mixture that has a global appeal with local influences.
