In a recent press briefing at the Ministry of Information members of the Presidential task force on the cholera outbreak announced that the number of cholera cases have reduced in Sierra Leone. But you probably won’t hear much of this from the NGOs because sad to say disaster pays. So while everything isn’t perfect and there is a need for more health and sanitation education in the Western Area and other districts, conditions have improved. So the war against the cholera outbreak isn’t over but we have won a couple battles. Many thanks to donors and Emergency Relief agencies that responded accordingly.
