In the first leg of the CAF Champions League Second Preliminary Round, Bo Rangers faced a 3-1 defeat against Algeria’s CR. Belouizdad at the Southern Arena in Bo.

Playing on their home turf, the Southern Elephants initiated the game with great intensity. They managed to break the deadlock in the 12th minute of the first half when Abu Komeh scored a goal. This early lead was a promising start, setting the stage for a highly competitive match.

CR. Belouizdad, refusing to be outdone, swiftly responded. Just three minutes before the end of the first half, they equalized with a goal from Meziane. Later in the opening two minutes of the second half, they took the lead, bringing the scoreline to 2-1 in their favor. As the match progressed, CR. Belouizdad seized a golden opportunity to extend their lead to 3-1, ultimately securing the final score.

This outcome may mark the end of Bo Rangers’ journey in this year’s CAF Champions League Preliminary Round. Unfortunately, it’s not the first time CR. Belouizdad has eliminated the two-time Sierra Leone Premier Champions from the continental stage. The second leg will take place in Algeria on a later date.
