David Moi Sengeh (32), has been named a 2019 World Economic Forum, Young Global Leader.
Every year WEF selects a small elite group of citizens under 40 who are transforming their communities and the world for good.
Sengeh is Sierra Leone’s first ever Chief Innovation Officer. He heads the Directorate of Science, Technology, & Innovation at the Office of the President in Freetown.
Amongst other things Sengeh and his team of scientists use data for decision making, and develop solutions to improve government service delivery to citizens.
Dr. Sengeh is the first Sierra Leonean to be appointed a WEF Young Global Leader.
