Sierra Leone Football Association to be run by FIFA appointed body
FIFA has appointed an interim body to govern Sierra Leone Football Association affairs until elections can be held in the new year. The SLFA struggled to manage transition to new leadership after Naim Kadi stepped down earlier this year. The FA executive elections were postponed several times after stiff competition between the leading candidates and their supporters.
Front runners for SLFA president are Isha Johansen, owner of a football franchise in Sierra Leone Premier League and Rodney Micheal a lawyer for sports betting company Mercury International.
The interim FA will be headed by Alie Forna. Its mandate will last until June 2013.
