Caroline Adel Jusu Brings Sierra Leone Back to Miss Grand International.

Caroline Adel Jusu, 24, took the stage in Bangkok on Wednesday, 7 October, 2026 as Sierra Leone’s contestant at Miss Grand International 2026. The grand final follows on Saturday, 10 October, at the MGI Hall.
Her appearance marks a return.. Sierra Leone sent no contestant to the contest from 2020 to 2025, so Jusu brings the country back to one of the world’s biggest pageant stages.
She earned the place on 26 June 2026 after she won the Miss Grand Sierra Leone 2026 title at the Bintumani Auditorium in Aberdeen.
A Runner-Up Who Kept Going

Jusu first drew national attention in October 2023, when she finished first runner-up at Miss Sierra Leone. However, Daizy Princess Mujeh Abdulai of Moyamba won the crown.
Second place did not end her pageant career. Instead, Jusu went on to compete at Miss Global 2023, an international contest whose events ran from Vietnam to Cambodia in January 2024.
Then came June 2026. She won the Miss Grand Sierra Leone title at an event that also crowned Katti Fofanah as Miss Universe Sierra Leone 2026. Miss Grand International lists her as Adel Caroline Jusu.
Lion Mountain: Sierra Leone on One Costume
In Bangkok, Jusu wore a design called “Lion Mountain — From the Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean,” made by Artakarach Design.
A green, moss-covered peak rose above her head, and a lion’s face stared out from the front.

The mountain stands for the nation’s strength, courage and resilience. From there, the design flows through forests and wildlife, then crystal-like rivers, and finally the deep blue of the Atlantic.
Diamond shapes honour the country’s mineral wealth, and the flag’s colours tie it together: green for the land, white for peace and unity, and blue for the rivers and ocean.
Miss Grand International asks every contestant to champion a cause. According to her contestant profile, Caroline Adel Jusu has taken on the organisation’s “Stop the War and Violence” theme. The profile says she believes one voice can start positive change.
The contest also judges contestants on its 4B philosophy: Body, Beauty, Brain and Business.

In 2020, she founded Diary of a Street Child. The initiative supports orphans and street children across Sierra Leone.
What Happens Next

The preliminary scores, along with the swimsuit round and a closed-door interview, help decide who reaches the top 20 on final night. The organisers will announce the Best Evening Gown and Best National Costume awards that same night, and Emma Tiglao of the Philippines will crown her successor. GrandTV will stream the final on YouTube.
Organisers first planned it for India, but on 3 September 2026 they announced that they had discontinued all events there and moved it to Thailand.
For Sierra Leone, the wait is short. Supporters at home and abroad now watch to see how far Caroline Adel Jusu carries the green, white and blue.
