Mr Eazi Dances to Drizilik’s Sabi Road As Krio Fusion Goes Global

Afrobeats star and Nigerian musician Mr Eazi has posted a TiKTok video of himself vibing and dancing to Drizilik’s new Krio fusion hit single, Sabi Road, sending fans across Sierra Leone and beyond into celebration mode.

What makes the video even sweeter? This isn’t the first time Mr Eazi has shown love to Drizilik.

Back when Drizilik released a snippet of the song on TikTok, Mr Eazi commented on the video that he loved the sound, especially the language, Krio.

Sabi Road is Drizilik’s latest hit song. The song, which was released five days prior to his sold out show at Fourah Bay College, is a Krio street anthem that tells the confidence of a young Sierra Leonean whose uniqueness lies in his identity as a Sierra Leonean and his talent.

With Mr Eazi cosigning it twice, first with a comment on TikTok, now with a dance video, the message is loud and clear: Krio Fusion, as Drizilik describes his style of music, is crossing borders.

Social media reactions have been explosive, with Sierra Leonean fans calling it a “global cosign,” a “win for Sierra Leone,” and proof that Drizilik’s sound is crossing borders without translation.
