Nigeria’s law enforcement authorities have taken Afrobeats sensation Naira Marley into custody for questioning in connection with the tragic passing of fellow singer MohBad. The untimely demise of MohBad, also known as Imole, at the age of 27, has left fans deeply saddened and seeking answers.

This situation has caused significant outrage, especially given the turbulent history between MohBad and Naira Marley following MohBad’s departure from Marlian Records earlier in 2022.

Last month, MohBad passed away under circumstances that remain shrouded in mystery, while he was at a hospital in Lagos. His abrupt burial by his family on the same day of his demise raised serious concerns among his devoted fan base. According to Yoruba tradition, it is customary not to hastily bury a deceased person with living parents, highlighting the rushed nature of the funeral.

To unravel the truth surrounding MohBad’s tragic loss, Nigerian authorities have initiated thorough investigations. Music promoter Sam Larry has also been apprehended to aid in the inquiry. In a bid to shed light on the situation, the police have even removed MohBad’s body for an autopsy, the results of which have yet to be disclosed.

Naira Marley, who had previously disavowed any involvement in MohBad’s demise, has recently returned from overseas to cooperate fully with the police investigation. He has expressed his dedication to assisting in the pursuit of justice, remarking, “It’s crucial that I play my part for Imole,” using another name for MohBad.

The ongoing investigation into MohBad’s passing and the detention of Naira Marley have sparked widespread public interest. Fans and the music industry are eagerly awaiting transparency, justice, and closure in this matter.
