Idris Elba makes directorial debut in South Africa

Idris Elba just wrapped production on a “Long Walk to Freedom” the biopic on Nelson Mandela’s life. Elba spent 5 months in South Africa and during which he shot a segment for MTV Africa. They also followed him for a behinds the scenes look at the actors first take in the director’s chair.

On set for his directorial début for his song “robot” Elba who also dabbles in music says SA’s house music he has influenced him. Actress Terry Pheto stars in the video as a sexy red robot woman.

Unfortunately you don’t get to see the video here but you at least get to see and hear Elba. We know how much y’all love him.
