The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has announced its winners at the 9th edition of the All Africa Music Awards on the 11th of January 2026 at the Eko Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has announced its winners at the 9th edition of the All Africa Music Awards on the 11th of January 2026 at the Eko Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

It features winners from West Africa, Central Africa, North Africa, South Africa, and East Africa.

AFRIMA is one of Africa’s biggest entertainment award events, which celebrates the continent’s rich musical heritage, recognising outstanding achievements in African music and promoting cultural diversity.

This year’s big winners include Nigerian acts like Rema, who came out as the biggest winner of the night, and Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness won Album of the Year.

Shallipopi’s Laho stood out and won Song of the Year. He also won the Best African Collaboration award with fellow Nigerian artist Burna Boy with Laho remix.

Nigeria emerged as a dominant force in the 9th edition of the All Africa Music Awards, becoming the African country with the most winners (10), with Rema taking home the most.
