Reality TV Star Hawa Hunt Released From Prison

Popular reality TV star Hawa Hunt has been released from prison after spending almost two months behind bars. Her release, which took place on March 4th, 2025, follows an appeal by First Lady Fatima Bio, who publicly called for her freedom and distanced herself from the circumstances surrounding her arrest.
The news was confirmed by female politician Dr. Sylvia Blyden, who disclosed on Facebook that those responsible for Hunt’s arrest had decided to drop all charges against her.
“Hawa Hunt will be out of prison TODAY. This is now confirmed to me by those who had taken a decision to arrest her & charge her. All her charges will be dropped,” Dr. Blyden announced.
Hunt had been facing cybercrime-related charges after a video allegedly showing her making derogatory remarks about President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Fatima Bio surfaced online in December 2024. However, with the charges now dismissed, she is officially free.
Her lawyer also confirmed her release in a video statement on Facebook, assuring the public that all necessary legal documents would be handed back to her.
