$2 billion Proposed Lungi Bridge sparks reactions on Twitter

The government of Sierra Leone has launched what is deemed as one of the biggest infrastructure projects in Sierra Leone. This project is no other than the Lungi Bridge.

This bridge will link Freetown to Lungi and it’s estimated cost is a whopping $2 billion. The construction of this bridge will almost put an end to sea travels from Lungi to Freetown as many see it as an alternative root to travel to and from the airport and Lungi.

This news though has been met with mixed reactions in Sierra Leone and some even say it’s one of the most expensive bridges in the world. This might be true according to Thortech who did a detailed analysis of the top 7 bridges back in 2015
