On the Eve of Sierra Leone’s 50th Independence Anniversary, the creme de la creme of Freetown Society were invited to an exclusive state banquet at the parliament. Notably missing were the nation’s youth, members of the opposition SLPP party, and ex president Ahmed Tejan Kabbah. A friend visited from Ghana right wondered why the former president wasn’t president at a state function…food for thought
