Bangura takes a firm stance against the “claims” that have been directed at him. He acknowledges that in a world where the first report often sways the gullible and fuels hatred, the truth can sometimes struggle to find its voice. However, he remains steadfast, confident that time will ultimately vindicate his actions. One key message that emerges from Bangura’s statement is his determination to continue his journey as a journalist, extending his appreciation to those who supported him during this hard time.
“I wish to register my deepest regrets to those who believe in me for putting them through the hassle of speculation, suspicions, conjectures and misrepresentation. If there is anything to take away from this sad episode, it is that my resilience has been reinvigorated in my pursuits as a journalist of high intellect and repute,” said Bangura.
This comes after Bangura claimed to have fallen prey to a ruthless daylight robbery while on public transport, allegedly claiming to have lost up to USD 7000, SLL 29 million (old leones), an iPhone 14 Pro Max, and crucial bank ID cards.
