Nthabiseng Mosia, the co-founder of the Sierra Leone-based solar energy company Easy Solar, has been listed among the top 10 2023 Africa’s Business Heroes finalists.
Africa Business Heroes is a philanthropic initiative that recognizes and uplift African entrepreneurs. Over 27,267 businesses across the continent applied for this year’s program, the highest number of submissions since its inception.
Moisa and the nine other finalists from nine African countries will be pitching in Kigali, Rwanda, later in November to claim the title of 2023 Africa’s Business Heroes Winner.
They will be sharing a prize pool of USD 1.5 million in grants ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 300,000. The winner of the 2023 edition will take home USD 300,000; the second place will take home USD 250,000, and USD 150,000 for third prize. All other seven finalists will take home USD 100,000. An additional USD 100,000 is allocated for training.
