If there was one collection that I wanted to steal from Day 1 of Ghana Fashion and Design week it would have been Nelly Aboagye’s fashion line Duaba Serwa. Each piece on the runway was structured, well cut, colorful, and exquisite. And from the looks of things Nelly makes it a point to design for women with an ample derriere. Rumor has it that the models had to be fitted with butt-pads.
Nelly said her fashion line “incorporates indigenous Ghanaian, Sierra Leonean, Ivorian bead work; all hand-made with contemporary designs fused with middle eastern stones”.
She went to the University of Ghana and she has been doing her thing since 2009. Spectacular!!! Spectacular!!!
If yesterday’s show was a competition then Duaba Serwa won it hands down 🙂
