Sierra Leone’s John Kamara Joins United City FC in Philippine

Sierra Leonean midfielder, John Bankolé Kamara has signed a seasonal contract with the Philippines Football League (PFL) side, United City Football Club. 

The New Clark City-based club announced his signing on Friday, March 22, 2024, heralding his arrival as a significant uplift for the squad.

“John Bankolé Kamara’s arrival is a major boost for United City FC. With his versatility, leadership qualities, and technical prowess, he brings immense value to the team,” said Coach Marian.

Kamara previously played for Keşla and in the Greek second-tier league, making this his tenth professional club since his debut with Tadamon Sour SC in 2008.

His international career began in 2013 with Sierra Leone’s senior team, where he has earned over 20 caps. Kamara played a pivotal role in Sierra Leone’s campaign to Cameroon in 2021, participating in every match of the 2021 AFCON.
