Da Cintra who has built a loyal fan base over the years for his lyrical prowess and his energetic rap ability have shocked his followers with a surprising announcement as he decides to quit the world of rap to embrace the melodious rhythms of Afrobeats.

In a heartfelt message to his thousands of fans on social media, Da Cintra shared his thoughts, saying, “My two biggest songs are ‘Skintight’ (Afrobeat) and ‘6am in Freetown’ (Rap). I’ve shown it countless times that I can easily do both. But now, it’s time to stick to what I lean towards more, what comes naturally.”

He went on to explain that while he had dabbled in rap, especially in his freestyles, it was the melodic side of music that truly resonated with him.

“So you are going to see me singing from now on, Da Cintra the rapper is gone and now it’s going to be Afrobeats, R&B and Soul music from me,” said Da Cintra.

Fans of Da Cintra had of course seen glimpses of this side in his Afrobeat hits, and now he’s ready to showcase it on a grand scale, as he unveils his upcoming EP titled “I am not a rapper”. What better way to introduce this new musical chapter than by dropping a six-track EP?.

Fans have come to love Da Cintra for his rap skills, however they are also eager to see what he could do with his melodic voice. “I AM NOT A RAPPER” is set to hit all digital platforms on September 29th, promising fans a sonic adventure they won’t want to miss.
