Freetown City Council last week engaged in a #FloodMitigationActivities in which they had volunteers from Freetown City Council, Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces and the community to help clean gutters, culverts, waterways and also clearing of garbages in preparation of the rainy season.
The exercise in its first week aimed to minimise flooding in Freetown and was done in areas such as Portee, Kissy Road, Lumley Roundabout, Prisons and Mammah Street.
