BREAKING NEWS: Sierra Leone’s Zainab disqualified for fighting on Big Brother Africa [video]

Feisty Sierra Leonean Big Brother contestant has been booted from Big Brother Africa Stargame. The model who was saved from eviction just 2 weeks ago instigated a fight with Ghanaian comedian DKB and the two got very physical. Zainab opened the restroom repeatedly while DKB was in the shower and after he confronted her, she refused to apologize. DKB threatened to slap Zainab to which she retorted that “slap me bitch”. Quite possibly the worst thing you could say to an African man so DKB obliged. We don’t support violence against women but she should not have said that to him.

This was the first time that Sierra Leone was allowed to participate in the game. To make such a quick exist and for something like this, is quite disappointing. Zainab’s partner Delphine was evicted 2 weeks ago. Goodbye Sierra Leone.

personally I think a lot of people are all failing to look at the big picture. As a woman I would feel so violated if I had an individual peep in on me while having a shower, regardless of whether we are in a competition or a game. For Zainab to do what she did and insult DBK after he reprimanded her for her actions is just wrong. Imagine if the tables were turned and it was him spying on her in the shower, Africa would be in an uproar and we would be talking about sexual assault here. sometimes we need to watch what message our actions send out to the young people as using profanities on television and failing to apologize when confronted about our wrongs is just wrong. This has nothing to do with being Sierra Leonean, it about being a decent individual and violence, cursing or using words like N***** and B*** is no way for ANYONE to act. I’m not condoning DBK’s actions but gosh I feel embarrassed whenever I hear young promising individuals acting like they have no self respect

Exactly, we can’t have double standards. What applies to women should also apply to men. Just because she is a woman, does not mean it is alright for her to do what she did. He had every right to confront her and to react when provoked. It is just unfortunate that it resulted in this violence. I don’t condone violence but we cannot treat men and women differently. She was not right and everyone should stop makng her out to be the victim. She was the instigator and they are both victims. She knew exactly what she was aiming to do when she started this whole nonsense.

She is gorgeous! This is the first time I have seen or heard of her as I am not Sierra Leonean, but her language/attitude is definitely a turn off. Perhaps some identity issues need to be addressed? Both her language and accent are uncharacteristic of an African woman. One minute she sounds Sierra Leonean and the next she is hood. That lack of consistency is simply put, “shady”. That said, while she might have provoked that HOT slap, he should have been disqualified as well. Allowing him to stay on the show, sends the message that he did nothing wrong and slapping her was wrong. Simply for the fact that violence should not be tolerated, unless maybe it is self defense. How is it that she is disqualified for provoking him and he is not disqualified for being violent? Even this title alone led me to believe she actually started the fight by being physically violent. The fact that she was disqualified and he was not is definitely a problem, and it reflects that general attitude most Africans (especially men) have towards violence against women. If you can “justify” it, then we can all move along like it is okay and it is NOT okay.

i want to say sorry to all those fans who were deeply supporting our dear sister. even though, i am some how disappointed and frustrated but i am also very please with the way our dear sister show case her ability in the BBS. people are blaming her for calling DKB {Africa man} “bitch” and which eventually led to her eviction from the competition. However, this i may tend to accept base on the so call kangaroo judges in BBS. our sis is not a demon or a male hater but someone with very good compassion and forgiving spirit. guys remember that she forgives the same Africa man {DKB} when he rained invectives on her and she never slap him [Africa man]. this shows how some African male folks react when they are given almost the same wishes {invectives}. she makes people laugh but DKB makes me sad.

Let frist ask ourselves this…Did Zainab know DBK was in the shower? we are to remember the are living togather as housemates…It’s wrong for us to judge from a footage the we saw online. BBA did not show what happened in the bathroom. I advise we read from what the other housemate saw.

shame on all you who say ” i do not support violent against women but she was wrong for confronting him’ He confronted her in the first place. what makes you all think not ok for a lady to confront a man if you are fighting for 50/50?

The slapping is not justifiable, because she is a woman. He should have exercised patient to report her to Big Brother, he is older and even stronger than her, women are vulnerable and we do not support violent against women. is this guy crazy, if it was my sister i will retaliate. This is what we usually say in krio(natin pass advantage)

i don’t know what world you live in dear but in this world where people like Zainanb behave the way the do, everyone has limits. for someone who goes about screaming her head off and insulting people at every given opportunity she really does know how to play a good victim.
as someone who follows the show, I remember Zainab having an argument with another housemate in Downville. The minute they started arguing she started insulting the man’s mother and family. Faced with another argument in Upville and having DKB insult her father, she takes such serious offence and wants to start a fight. now if that isn’t someone taking advantage of the fact that she is female i dint know what is. while i do not condone violence against women I did know from the start that Zainab had a slap like that coming and even if not on the show or from a man, it was coming. You cant go about provoking people and not expect a reaction, some people have short tempers and would not be able to handle what the average person does.
she really needs to change her attitude because it screams the word uncivilized and trust me no amount of money, fame or success can change that.

If it was in America or Europe, DKB would have been disqualified because they recognized, respect and protect the right of a woman.Africans why are we behaving to each other like that, because they have seen the high potential in Zainab that is why they decided to set her up.My sister keep the faith God have a plan for you.So so bad heart Africa make ah tire.No matter what Sierra Leone will one day win this show.

Being a reality show, the expectation is lack of privacy. Therefore DKB should have known better. besides he was seen entering the bath room while Zainab was in there in previous videos…

hard to believe this guy is a comedian. he shoulda made a joke out of it and her. anytime someone hits someone it just shows how totally primitive their brain is. here you are on a tv show to win some money and you can’t keep your cool? damn they spooked him! anyone yelling words just reveals their thinking and frustration – you can take it or leave it. yell back if u think they’re wrong. if they say something bad about ur mum, who cares? why are people so easily upset by that? talk ur talk all u want. u are just showing what a moron u r. i just put my fingers in my ears and go blah blah blah back at ya. when u grow up, maybe i’d listen.

DKB did not give her an opportunity to explain what she was looking for when she opened the shower door. Let’s not forget that DKB drew first blood by suck-teeting her. In her culture suck-teet is worse than mamy cuss. She did warn him not to suck-teet her again but he persisted and all bets were off and the hood in her surfaced. Then he had the audacity to threaten her with a slap sometime in the future. She had to call his bluff. Why leave for tomorrow what you can do today – “bring it on”, she said and he obliged. the rest is His story. I just adore her – she is gorgeous, sexy, spunky, fiesty, brave & a great counter-slapper. The girl has a bright future ahead of her. If she needs an Agent, I’m available.

Fellow Africans kindly remember that citizens of Siera Leone are still dealing with emotional scars of the blood diamond wars. It is this emotional burden that has damaged our Sierra Diamond Zainab. Let us forgive her; we could also have cracked under the pressure of 24/7 survaillance in a house cage ! Zainab needs healing therapy.

Am truly disappointing that the guy in this video will go that far as to hit a female and for the show’s producers not to kick him out as well. I see a lot of you people justifying the actions of this dude. In any other continent he would have been arrested no matter what the provocation might have been. This wasnt self defense, this was an ego tripping lunatic preying on the opposite sex. The only time hitting a female is permissible is to save oneself from bodily hard. If you cant control your emotions then dont go back and forth with an African female. The issue will just keep escalating and you will just get your feelings hurt. She cant really hit your to hurt you so she uses her best option. And if you dont like being sense naked then why the FUCK are you on a reality TV show. It’s not his private FUCKING home. Excuse my french.

Shows like Big Brother thrive off of drama. So particpants like Zainab are well liked. They purposefully place them in a house where they can’t leave with other people with big and confrontational personalities. At least in the US there’s freedom of speech. You can say whatever you damn well please but to toch someone is out of the question. He pushed and then slapped her but he stayed on? WHAT?!!! You can only control your actions. The way Zainab acted is not acceptable in everyday sociaty but it is in the Big Brother house. If he doesn’t like it then walk away. Shame on the guy.
