Sweet Sierra Leone One Year Later…grants & unsettling personal issues 🙂

After a year of blogging….I am pleased to announce that this blogging experience has been amazing. I’ve met so many wonderful people and over the course of the year I found my voice. When I started blogging it was to chronicle my last experience in Sierra Leone but its now much more than that. I am happy to say that i will be going to SL to live for a year and to make a contribution in the small way that i can. I have raised $4500 so far for the project (TBC Salone Initiative) and I hope to raise about $10,000 dollars before I leave.

I am in the process of writing grant proposals and though today is not the best day (due to some unsettling personal issues). I am happy and thankful for this blog because it has taken me to places I never imagined. Thank you to everyone who read and shared their thoughts with me. I appreciate all your kind words and sentiments.

When I move to Sierra Leone I think the blogging experience is going to be so much more powerful and thought provoking. I look forward to many more discussions and threads with you all.
