On Tuesday 16th April, AYV Media Empire and Africell Sierra Leone presented cheques of Le 150 million (one hundred and fifty million leones) to the last remaining couple; Monica Yeani Ghaliwa and Kenchine Palmer of the Housemates Salone reality TV series.

A cheque of Le. 50 Million was presented to the runner up Monica Yeani Ghaliwa by the Managing Director of Africell. Two cheques of Le. 50 Million each were presented to the winner Kenchine Palmer which makes it a total of Le 100 million.

“Africell is talk and do, people were saying that Kenchine was going to receive Le 60 million and the Le 40 million is going for charity, the Le 100 million will be presented to him directly and it will be done with two cheques because of the banking and financial policies we are having in Sierra Leone,” clarified John Konteh, Head of Media at Africell.

Kenchine Palmer had nothing but gratitude when he got paid:

“I wanna say thanks be to God, to each and every person, to each and every housemate, all to who took their time to make this a success to AYV, Africell, to the great Amb. Anthony Navo and to Mr Shani respect to you Sir what you are actually doing is pushing Sierra Leone forward. I appreciate everybody and I wanna say big thanks allover the world to those who have been supporting, those who have been giving their time and I say congratulations also to each and every housemate for their time because it wasn’t easy and this is for us I dedicate this to us, because we all make this happen. To my grandmother my family and friends.”
