Isha Sesay, Sierra Leone’s golden girl for international journalism is also a philanthropist. A year ago the CNN anchor launched W.E. Can Lead a non profit aimed at empowering girls in Sierra Leone. W.E Can Lead’s mission is for young girls in Sierra Leone to receive education, leadership, and mentoring support.

In November 2016, W.E Can Lead launched 9 workshops in 5 schools. 171 girls in Freetown meet weekly to grow in self-awareness, build self esteem, learn basic life and develop basic skills.

You can donate to the cause via and online shop on the website. Hoping to see more from Isha Sesay and W.E Can Lead.
