Sierra Leone gets first and only post war traffic light

Today will go down in history as the day Sierra Leone got its traffic lights back.

During and after the civil war all of the traffic lights in Freetown were looted and removed. Today one light was installed at the intersection of Youyi building and Bus Halt in Brookfields.

If you only moved to Freetown during or after the war it means you have never seen a functioning traffic. It means a whole generation of young drivers on the streets have never driven with one, on the upside though, they have seen the latest Range Rovers, and Toyota Prados.

Congrats on this collaborative traffic light effort Sierra Leone!
