Sandvikens IF in Sweden’s Division Football League has signed Sierra Leonean defender  David Simbo for the next two seasons for an undisclosed amount. The former Mighty Blackpool defender, missed Sierra Leone’s World Cup qualifier in Tunis because he was on trial with several clubs. Simbo says he wants to show himself in the top division

“I don’t know what might happen in the future. Football changes a lot and anything can happen. My dream is to continue playing for club and country,” he said.

The Defender has every intention to be apart of the Leone Stars squad that will face Tunisia on the return leg of the World Cup qualifier. Simbo started his career playing for Mighty Blackpool in Sierra Leone’s Premier League. He moved to Norway in 2009 and joined Raufoss in and later Sogndol in the second division. He was back with Mighty Blackpool for a short spell before moving to Sweden in 2011. He went on loan to Swedish third tier club Motala AIF before went on to play for Allsvenskan top side Trelleborgs.
