Sporting KC has just announced that Kei Kamara who led Major League Soccer with 134 shots in 2012 has been loaned to Norwich City in the English Premiership till May 2013. At that point Norwich will either sign Kamara or he will have an extended contract with Kansas City. Kamara is the second player from KC to leave for the Premiership.
Last year the Sierra Leone born soccer star reached a career high with 11 goals and 8 assists. He was the Sporting KC offensive player of the year.
Kamara a naturalized American citizen will need a work permit from the UK Home Office to play professional football at Norwich.
“I love it here, I’m going to miss it”, said Kamara this afternoon reacting to news of leaving Kansas City even for just a couple of months.
