Bangura Strasser among five missing for Sierra Leone vs Sao Tome
Sierra Leone’s national team, kick off its qualifiers for the 2013 African Cup of Nations playing against Sao Tome & Principe. But five of the team’s key players will miss the match. Rodney Strasser, Gibrilla Wobay, Mohamed Pobosky Bangura, and team captain Ibrahim Obreh Kargbo will miss this game for various personal and injury reasons. Also missing in action will be Ibrahim Teteh Bangura who has a court date in Turkey on the day before the game. He has to be in court for a speeding ticket. With so many players missing this will be a great opportunity for Leone Stars’ home-based players to showcase their skills.
Sao Tome & Principe is ranked at 168 while Sierra Leone sits at 64th place. On paper this should be an easy win for the Leone Stars but as we say in Krio; “game na biskit” i.e. Football is an unpredictable game.
Good Luck Team Leone Stars
