Sheriff Suma: Man of the Moment

Sheriff Suma, Leone Stars Striker, Professional footballer

There are two sides to Sheriff Suma; the quiet reserved father of one, and the colorful footballer who changes his hair faster than we can keep up (it might change by the time we finish this post). Suma fell in love with ball at an early age but it was the death of his parents and not having anyone to pay his school fees that made him take it seriously. By 2003 Suma who played for FC Kallon in Freetown would join Siera Leone’s U17 footbal team for a tournament in Sweden. Of the 22 man team that went to Sweden only five of them returned to Sierra Leone and Suma was among that small number. He returned even though he knew of the limited opportunities available back home. Suma continued his career at FC Kallon for three more years. Then in 2005 as luck and maybe talent would have it a Swedish football scout would come calling and Suma would be drafted to Åtvidaberg FF. Six years later and Suma is now a celebrated and talented footballer. He has been called up for international duty 8 times for Leone Stars. This season he is playing in Azerbaizan for Ravan Baku. While Suma says he’s happy to be at his new team, he says that it breaks his heart to be so far away from his daughter Nala.

Sheriff Suma: Man of the Momen

For these and many other reasons including that he is just so darn gorgeous, Sheriff Suma is our Man of the Moment. Did I say he was fine??? Oh wait i think i already said that 🙂
